Description
-
For more than 25 years I have been working in the video game industry. I started my career as 3D-Artist with the dutch game development company DAVILEX in Mülheim (Ruhr) where we worked on titles like USA Racer. After that I worked as a Level- and Character-Designer for the project Moorhuhn-Kart (Crazy Chicken Kart) for Phenomedia.
After studying Medieninformatik (FH) (Media & IT) at TFH-Berlin I was able to help germanys biggest MMO publisher Frogster (later bought by Gameforge) as Senior Manager (Media Production) to develop graphics and product websites with a team I was the lead of.
Meanwhile I wrote a book about the OpenSource 3D Software Blender for Addison Wesley. After that two Video-Trainings for Video2Brain followed.
After that I worked as a professional lecturer at GamesAcademy where I was helping upcoming artists, game designers, game programmers and producers to get started with their career.
I also developed and published my own (HTC Vive - Virtual Reality) Game on Steam recently. The name is VR: Vacate the Room. After that I got funding for creating the successor VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms and Founded the company hOSHI UG with which I created 5 games in total and published 8 games.
My last position was 3D/VR/AR Prototyping Architect for Amazon Web Services where I created 3d, VR and AR prototypes with customers from different industries all over EMEA.
Currently I am a Lecturer for Game Development and Game Design at the MD.H (Mediadesign Hochschule) in Berlin. In the meantime I'm still doing contract work for hOSHI UG. For example as Lead Game Designer for SyncReality.
